If the laptop computer has a wireless adapter installed, either internally or externally, and it can communicate over that adapter to the wireless router, it is time to disconnect the Ethernet cable. The computer will only use one network path to the router at a time.
You have two basic options. 1.You can connect your laptop to your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port using an Ethernet cord. 2. You can connect your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port to a wireless router using a Ethernet cable. You then connect your laptop using wireless to your wireless router.
All you need is an ethernet input on your laptop and a ethernet cable. Run the cable from the router output to the laptop input. Most wireless routers also include ethernet outputs in the back of the router. The laptop should discover the connection
The PS3 does not have a router. It can go online with an ethernet cable connected to a router or modem or with WiFi from a wireless router or modem
You should be connected to the router either with a wireless connection or with lan connection.
If you have a router (connected to internet), and you get a laptop with wireless enabled you do not need anything else. You can connect your laptop to the router and have internet on your laptop.
Yes, and you can connect many more devices. The router should have at least 4 ethernet ports to connect to. And/or you can connect wireless also. If you have more then 4 wired devices then you can use a 4, 8, or 16 port ethernet Switch to connect to the Router. Myself I have 3 desktops (wired), 3 wireless and 1 wired laptops, an X-Box 360 (wired), a Wii (wireless), a BlueRay player (wireless) and a Brother laser printer (wireless) connected to the router. (1 desktop, 1 laptop and the X-Box are hooked to the Router and the rest of the wired devices are connected to an 8 port ethernet Switch which is connected to the Router.)
No, what i did is i took the ethernet cable that came with my xbox, connected it to my laptop, and connected my laptop to the internet via wireless router. The only other way that doesn't involve a wireless adapter for your 360 is to connect your 360 to your computer via an ethernet cable (not sure if you need a router for this but i might as well list it), but the laptop-connect is the "most effecient/cheapest" way, and the adapter-connect is the "best connection/signal" way.
If you connect your modem to the router, and then using one of LAN port (router's) connect the PS3 to the router, you will not interfere with wireless signal at all.
A wireless adapter for your XBOX, a wireless USB adapter for your Laptop, and a wireless router. The two devices will communicate with each other through the router.
Yes, This is for adding a wireless antenna to a desktop or laptop computer that does not have wireless built in. You still need a wireless router connected to your internet provider.
Well I don't know about that but something similar is getting a wireless repeater relay, that should double the distance of your original router if that's what you're looking for. Hope that helps.
You purchase a wireless router and short ethernet cable (some routers include the cable) and connect it to the cable modem output with the short ethernet cable, then connect the ethernet cable that was connected to your modem outputs to the wireless router outputs. This will only work if your Laptop has WiFi capability The prices of wireless router vary greatly and many can be purchased less than for retail price. Review online prices before making a purchase to prevent overpaying.
