There is no treatment to stop or prevent a miscarriage so there is no point to going to the hospital immediately. However medical review would be required to see if you actually have miscarried and that there is nothing left that shouldn't be there. This usually involves an ultrasound scan a few days later. It may be followed up by a D&C
If you cannot stop the bleeding, feel that the miscarriage is incomplete and that tissue remains unaborted, or if you feel like it -- then you should go to the hospital. Even if you're physically healthy but are hurting emotionally, you should go to the hospital. Only stay home if you are Certain everything is okay.
It depends how far through your pregnancy you were. They sometimes have to check your uterus has closed after emptying everything as it could dause infection if not. It's always best to go and check.
If you
know you are having a miscarriage, it would be best to go to the doctor to make sure everything is going ok. but if it already happened, you definatly should go to the doctor to make sure everything went ok. If some pieces don't come out, it could cause some problems. I found out through an ultrasound that my baby was not alive, and i was given choices on what to do. I could go in and have them take care of it (the easy way) or i could go home and do it myself. i chose the second option, and am currently going through it. so far it's worked out fine, but if your body does not reject it quick enough, you can get a serious infection and could even die from the infection. So long story short, it is a good idea to go get checked out :)
At least go see your OB/GYN - if you call them they may recommend going to the hospital.
YES....! If you are in doubt, call the ER Nurse at the hospital and ask for their advice. Do so quickly because you are at risk of hemorrhaging.

If these are discharges from your vagina, go to an hospital emergency room,. You may be having a miscarriage.
If you are bleeding excessively you need to see a doctor straight away. If you think you may be miscarrying, you need to go to hospital. I recommend you go NOW. The depo is very unlikely to have caused a miscarriage on it's own.
