any scooter or moped that is over 50cc requires insurance. if it is under 50cc, it is recommended by some that you get insurance but that would be a waste and is not necessary. it depends on your feelings about it though.
CORRECTION: Any scooter that Equal to, OR Less than 50cc, does not require a license nor insurance in most states.
you are allowed on the path but not the road.
No! No! No!
No, but if you wish to actually drive a vehicle, you will need to have insurance on that vehicle. A driver must also have a valid driver's license. Anyone who wishes to drive a car on a public street needs to have that vehicle registered and licensed as well as having liability insurance on that vehicle.
== == Yes. Any vehicle driven on public roads requires you to have insurance. A strictly off road vehicle, as in (Dirt Bike), that is not street legal requires no insurance.
yes

A license, a vehicle, and insurance.
offroad no but street use yes
NONE! You must be of Drivers License age in your state, to ride a street bike, or moped. You must atleast have a moped permit to even drive a scooter, or any other Gas/Electric powered vehicle on Public Highways.
Can you drive a scooter 50 CC inPhiladelphia without licence and also without insurance. How would you get the scooter insured if youdon'thave a driver licence?thanks
Auto insurance typically covers the car, not the driver. So, if you have insurance on your vehicle, but you drive another vehicle that doesn't have insurance, you are not protected by your policy if you have an accident in that other vehicle. However, if you have insurance on your vehicle, and you lend it to a driver (from another household) who does not have his or her own insurance, they will be covered by your policy while they are driving your car.
In California, you must possess a class c license or a learner's permit and be at least 16 years old. You would drive your scooter on the street and follow traffic laws.
