Guinea-Bissau is a semi-democratic country. It has an open political culture---but with the recent deaths and assassinations of many presidents and political instability caused by ethnic and minority unrest, the military in that country seems to have the upper hand in running the country, as they also own the country's drug-trafficking businesses as well. Guinea-Bissau could backslide towards a corrupt Dictatorship if no one stops the army's power.
