Medicare covers the essential part of a medicare-covered procedure. They may cover dental implants if it is part of a reconstructive surgery post injury but it does not cover the cost of dental implants for a simple replacement of a tooth.

However, it's important to note that Medicare Advantage plans (Part C) are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Some Medicare Advantage plans may provide additional coverage for dental services, which could potentially include dental implants. It's advisable to review the specific details and coverage options of different Medicare Advantage plans to determine if dental implants are included.

Moreover, there might be alternative options to help with the cost of dental implants. Private dental insurance plans may provide coverage for dental implants, but coverage and benefits vary depending on the specific plan. Additionally, some dental discount plans or financing options may be available to help manage the cost of dental implants.

To obtain accurate and up-to-date information regarding coverage for dental implants under Medicare, it is recommended to contact Medicare directly or consult with a dental insurance provider or a dental office that accepts Medicare to discuss your specific situation and explore available options.

No, they do not, they call that cosmetic. Even if your doctor says that you can not masticate (eat). They will tell you to get dentures. Implants are rather costly to both the insurance company and the patient and unless you are in otimal health they sometimes do not take, as there are several steps prior to the implant and several health requirement that the patient must have to meet before you can have them.

Does Medicare help pay cost of Implants. I lost my teeth from physical abuse and am on Social Security Disability?

They are so painful, as I said there are others that offer the snap on, and yes your ins will pay Medicare will only pay for dental implants if they are part of a facial reconstruction because of injury or disease. If your teeth were lost without other devastating facial injury, they won't pay for implants, but should cover dentures. I dont think Medicare covers implants. I have 3 of them. and medicare did not cover them. And Implants are Great. wish I could afford to do all my teeth that way..also some medical ins. will cover the surgical part of the implant. as mine did. hope this help. good luck
