It might. You should check with your personal auto insurance first. For some business use they will extend the coverage. If they tell you that it will not be covered under your personal policy then you need a commercial policy.

An SR22 filing would have to accompany your Personal auto insurance policy. Personal Auto insurance "never" provides coverage for a commercial company vehicle with or without an SR22 filing.

You have a pest control company and full coverage ins on your two trucks do you need commercial auto insurance instead?

I own a small courier company. We are incorporated. We have to have commercial auto as our consumer auto company said they wouldn't cover accidents we had while doing business with our vehicles. Plus they are owned by the company. I would check with my accountant. If your trucks are owned by the company I would assume you would have to have commercial auto. If a driver is using the vehicle on a job has an accident your company is liable, right? If the vehicle is generating income it would fall under the commercial umbrella where commercial insurance would be needed.

What kind of insurance coverage can we get for a borrowed vehicle that doesn't have any insurance on it because the owner doesn't drive it. We have insurance coverage on our vehicles?

Some insurance companies like Progressive will cover a non-owned vehicle meaning a vehicle in which you have no legal or financial interest. Check around if your insurance company does not provide coverage to non-owned vehicles.

Is it considered trespassing for a representative of a motor carrier to remove freight from a commercial vehicle owned by another motor carrier company?

No, probably not.

Can you get auto insurance if you do not own a car?

Yes you can, it's called a named non-owned policy. It covers you to drive a vehicle you do not own, and it only covers you to drive a vehicle that does not have insurance. If you borrow a friends car and have a name non-woned vehicle and have an accident, the insurance follows the vehicle, so their insurance will pay. That company may subrogate and come after you then it would be up to your insurance company to decide if they'd accept liability.

Can your employer ask for your vehicle insurance to drive their vehicle?

Your personal auto coverage will not cover their vehicles. What they are probably asking for is to make sure you have coverage in case you drive your vehicle on errands or such for the company. If you go to the post office to get the company mail your personal auto insurance will be the primary insurance and then if they have an endorsement to their insurance called "hired and non-owned auto" it will provide secondary coverage over and above your coverage to protect them in case of an accident. Their coverage insists that you as the employee have primary insurance on your vehicle. Also note that the company insurance will not pay for damage to your vehicle.
