There are no massive indications as in ultrasound used in hospitals and clinics causing problems for baby.
There are concerns attached to the use of ultrasound but the risk of actually causing problems for baby is minimized by constantly monitoring the energy used and absorbed by tissue. If used by a well qualified nurse/doctor the risk should be considered very low.
It is advised against prolonged and frequent monitoring with an ultrasound device.
2-3 scans during a pregnancy is bot considered frequent and the information gathered is so useful and important that it far outweigh the risk factors of using it.
