Got this answer from a channel 4 NBC news article: "For your answer we contacted Nabisco, the company that makes Cheese Tidbits. And it says, unfortunately, the reason you cannot find them in your local grocery store is because Nabisco discontinued the product at the end of 2002. It wouldn't say why because of proprietary reasons, but it does still make "Cheese Nips", which is widely available."
I just found some little crackers that reminded me of the Tid-Bits I used to eat. They are called Macaroni and Cheese Crackers by Kraft. I got them at Walgreens and they are exactly the same as the Tid-bits (shape and taste) except they don't come in a box, and they are not made by Nabisco.
Also for unknown reasons, companies always discontinue tried and true products that people love and enjoy all in the name of progress. But in reality, when something is correct and working properly - don't change it.

∙ 15y agoNo. They stop production several years back. For a close taste, try the new Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Crackers Mild Cheddar or Sharp Cheddar.

Unfortunately, no, the company does not make them any longer. Their production stopped years ago.

When I worked for Nabisco in Oakland, CA, they were pretty tight with their formulas. Also, their formulas are for batches of dough that weigh 100s of pounds. I'm not sure they would apply well to a family-sized batch. Ingredient amounts don't divide down one-for-one perfectly.** New Update ** I have not seen any recipes, but I can tell you the crackers are still available...... but in Canada. Both the Bacon and Swiss Cheese Crackers are made still by Christie brands, which is the Canadian arm of Kraft Foods/Nabisco.It is best to order them by bigger cases, I last ordered a combined case of the bacon and Swiss cheese, and ordered them from www.canadianfavourites.com.They are the exact same recipe and shapes as our old favorites.
