Yes, that's how it uses the maps app, because when the location services are on, there's an option that you can find where you are compared to the destination, or you can just use it like a normal gps and just track your movement, however, (and even though I basically spend most days researching technology, including the iPad, there are still a million things that I don't know about it, so this could be one of them,) you can't have it in third person view right behind your car and have it tell you the directions (I know, I don't like it either). Hope this helps! SeanHolshouser
the iPad 3G will have assisted GPS for use with Maps, etc. The WiFi-only version does not have this function.
It dose not come with it built in! You will have to buy a App which costs $$$
Yes, but only the WiFi+3G models are able to use GPS functionality.
no but the iphone does
Only the 3G Model.
If the iPad has 3G, yes. But if it is WiFi and not connected to a hotspot, you cannot locate it.
yes, iPad was the original "tablet"
Apple iPad, ViewSonic ViewPad and more
The original iPad does not have a camera, but every iPad released following the original is equipped with both a front-facing and rear-facing camera.
So you can access the internet anywhere, great for GPS..
The original iPad is 13.4mm. The new iPad 2 is 8.8mm, so it is much thinner.
The WiFi+3G Variant of the iPad 2 is superior. It features celluar connection, the ability to connect to 3G and assisted GPS.
3. the original, the ipad 2, and the "new" ipad.
£13.82, luckily it is only on the ipad 2 and not the original ipad Source: i got an ipad 2 when it first came out.
He did not invent the iPad 2. The iPad 2 is a evolutionary step from the original iPad which was developed by a ten of engineers at Apple.
All iPads released following the original iPad have both a front-facing camera and a rear-facing camera.
The main difference between the iPad 1 and 2 is that the iPad 2 is thinner and lighter than the iPad 1. The iPad 2 is also faster than the first iPad and the iPad 2 has front and rear cameras.
