Moons can occur around planet in a few different ways. They include:
- A major hypothesis is that a huge rocky mass the size of Mars collided with Earth about 20 million years after Earth formed. Material blasted out from Earth.
-The moon was formed elsewhere and captured by the gravity of the planet. This is what happens when an asteroid goes near enough to a planet, but does not collide with it, so it begins orbiting it.
-The moon and planet formed at the same time within each other's proximity from the same planetary material. This is called co-accretion.
-If an object collides with a planet the debris released into space can coalesce through gravity, to form a moon. This is how we think the Earth's moon was formed.
-The moon could have been once part of the planet. The planet's centrifugal force can cause a blob of magma to separate and harden to form a moon. For this to happen the planet must have been molten first.
Stars more massive than the sun turn into a red supergiant rather than a red giant. At its core, the red supergiant burns helium to make other elements including carbon and oxygen. Eventually it begins to make iron.Iron absorbs energy rather than releasing it.In a split secopnd, the star collapses under its own mass condensing the core into a dense nucleus. The nucleus reacts to the squeezing by releasing massive shock waves, exploding the star into a supernova.Sometimes this turns into a neutron star but often the core that remains after a supernova is so massive that nothing can support it against its own gravity. It collapses into itself and becomes a black hole. - Devarshi Choudhury,India
It cant and never will. The moon is just a big rock
craters
"What ARE the holes on the moon?" The 'holes' you see are not really that, but are craters caused by billions of meteor impacts since the moon's formation.
The moon has holes because it has been hit by asteroids
The holes in the moon are called craters. To find the name of famous moon craters go to wikipedia.
The large holes in the moon are naturally there. As soon as the moon came to life the holes are there. The moon was made that way. Although the moon is natural its still made. Things like mountains don't just pop up by them selves !

The moon, believe it or not, once was full of lava. That is why there are so many holes in the moon.

The "holes" in the Moon are craters; it's likely that most of those are caused by meteorites.

The maria's on the moon were formed by meteors slamming into it.

From meteorites hitting it.
There are in the big holes.
Meteors crash into the moon and leave the holes there
They're craters - made by meteors crashing on the moon
