Male Bernese Mountain Dogs are usually 25 to 27½ inches tall at the shoulder and weigh 85 to 110 pounds. Bitches (females) are usually 23 to 26 inches tall at the shoulder, a…nd weigh 80 to 105 pounds.
They were originally bred to pull large loads on carts, therefore; their large build, long powerful legs, and great strength. They continue to be used for that today, bu…t are one of the best family pets i have ever had. I seriously believe there good for anything, including babysitting!
Bernese mountain dogs get pretty big,the males can get to 90-120 pounds, and the females 70 to 100 pounds. The height is normally 25-27.5 inches for the males and 23-26 inches f…or the females.Sometimes you can tell how big the puppy will get by the size of it's paws.
Where can you find a picture of a mix between a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Bernese Mountain Dog?
you could go on google and look there.
Quite simple; it would be a Burmese Mountain Dog crossed with a chihuahua. I think you may possibly have been able to answer that yourself, as the answer lies within your ques…tion!
no you cannot if you want it to be pure bred
I guess I would call it a Bernshire or Bernkie.
generally no!! the mix breed with G shep often look beautiful but sometimes are of uncertain temper. also being larger dogs can be difficult to control if the behaviour starts… to go wrong. do not go for this mix. Yes I know lots of people will reply that their dog is a mix and is pure sweetness and light, but in my 'expert 'experience there are too many problems with G Shep cross bred dogs.
It just depends on each individual dog. Some Bernese Mountain Dogs with loose jaws slobber and drool a lot; others don't have this problem at all.
A dog could have both in their ancestory, but it is impossible to have a straight mix. The chihuahua mom would die in birthing, the Bernese Montain Dog..... nope, just not pos…sible.
Around 28-30 inches at the shoulder.
Bernese mountain dogs are working dogs. they herd and pull wagons. They are very loyal and smart. i have one sam he is great.
German shepherd is much more popular than Bernese mountain dog.
It fully depends on the way the genetics are in the dog. You can probably figure that the dog will be between both sizes. You will not get a dog larger than a Bernese or small…er than a lab. When two breeds such as these are mixed the entire litter can range in size, weight, color, and hair length. Unfortunately there is no real way of knowing how big they will be until about 6-8 months of age. After that their long bones have fully developed and they will no longer grow taller.
I have a Bernese mountain dog and a Bernese Mountain Dog crossed with a German Shepard. They play very well together. The Bernese has a lovely temperament and gets on we…ll with any dog. The Bernese cross is not good with any dog except my Bernese. The Bernese Cross is brilliant with people and a very affectionate dog. I have them both from puppies and they were raised together which I think has helped.
Bernese Mountain Dogs should be fed regular dog food like any other breed of Dog. I feed my Dogs of Wagg Complete, but any good quality dog food will do. Royal Canin makes spe…cialist food for large breeds such as Bernese Mountain Dogs, such as Giant Junior, Giant Puppy and Giant Adult.
