Hyperbaric Oxygen treament, where a patient is placed in a pressurized chamber to drive oxygen deeper into the tissues, is used to treat things such as certain non-healing wounds, decompression sickness (the bends), carbon monoxide poisoning, air or gas embolism, necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating bacterial infection) and radiation related osteo-necrosis.
