HTTP Belongs to the Application layer. Other transfer protocols like POP,FTP,SMTP etc also belongs to this layer
The Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) works on Layer 7 on the Application layer of the OSI Model.
1.application: e-mail application-layer protocol: SMTP [RFC 2821] 2.application: WEB application-layer protocol: HTTP [RFC 2616] 3.application: streaming multimedia application-layer protocol: HTTP (eg Youtobe), RTP [RFC 1889] 4.application:file transfer application-layer protocol: FTP [RFC 959] 5.application: remote terminal access application-layer protocol: Tenet [RFC 854]
TCP, the Transmission Control Protocol, is a layer-4 protocol (in the 7-layer OSI model).
Network Control Protocol is uses to identify the Network layer protocol used in the packet
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is an application layer, or Layer 7, protocol.
The HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP). For secure conections, the HTTP protocol operates on top of the Secure Sockect Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security protocols. This is HTTP Secure (HTTPS).
The Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) works on Layer 7 on the Application layer of the OSI Model.
HTTPS is not a separate protocol, but refers to use of ordinary HTTP over an encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection. So it really does not have a place per say, because it's not a protocol it's a hybrid. Or you can say it originates in the Application layer and then finishes in the Presentation layer.
Telnet is similar to HTTP and FTP in that all three use the TCP protocol for connection-oriented
http telnet
The Network Layer in the TCP/IP model is responsible for routing data packets between different networks. It determines the best path for data to travel from the source to the destination through various interconnected networks. The Internet Protocol (IP) is the main protocol used at this layer to address and forward packets.

The Montreal Protocol is a landmark international agreement designed to protect the stratospheric ozone layer.
HTTP is the hyper text transfer protocol . The port used by HTTP is port 80 . The HTTP is the protocol of application layer.
1.application: e-mail application-layer protocol: SMTP [RFC 2821] 2.application: WEB application-layer protocol: HTTP [RFC 2616] 3.application: streaming multimedia application-layer protocol: HTTP (eg Youtobe), RTP [RFC 1889] 4.application:file transfer application-layer protocol: FTP [RFC 959] 5.application: remote terminal access application-layer protocol: Tenet [RFC 854]
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol and a network security protocol. HTTP operates at the highest layer of the TCP/IP Internet reference model, the Application layer; but the security protocol operates at lower sublayer, encrypting an HTTP message prior to transmission and decrypting a message upon arrival. HTTPS has also been known as "Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer", but now HTTPS may be secured by the Transport Layer Security (TLS) instead of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. To invoke HTTPS, one replaces "http://" with "https://" in the URI, or Web address. HTTPS connections are often used for payment transactions on the Web and for sensitive transactions in corporate information systems.
the protocol used for email is simple mail transfer protocol and the layer is transport layer.
