== == Mohammad (peace be upon him) was born in the Arabian peninsula which was occupied by the dependence of Ishmael (peace be upon him) who was the son of Ibrahim (Abraham peace be upon him). The people of Makkah (the city which he was born in) had stray far from the religion of their forefathers and had become idol worshippers. Mohammad hated the idol worship and was distressed by it. Mohammad often use to go to a close by Mountain called Hira and use to meditate there and reflect upon the creation. Sometimes he use to stay there for mroe than a day and his wife Khadijah use to send him food there. One day when Mohammad was in the cave Jibrael (angle Gabreil) appeared to him and asked him to read. Mohammad answered him saying i can't read. Jibrael said again "READ" and Mohammad replied with the same answer. Then Jibrael said, Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, (1)
Createth man from a clot. (2)
Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, (3)
Who teacheth by the pen, (4)
Teacheth man that which he knew not. (5)
These were the first words of the revelation from God to Prophet Mohammad through Angle Jibrael which started Mohammad's prophet hood thus starting the message of Islam.
