one thing that people need to understand is that ethics relate back to culture and culture and religion are two completely different things. Religion is the faith that a person lives by and follows while ethics are traditions and rules in a culture or society.

People of a single ethnic group can have different religions, for example the British are largely Protestant and Catholic Christians and their religious affiliation does not follow ethnic boundaries (historically).

People of one religion can be from many different ethic groups.

For example, Muslims are Arabs, Berbers, black Africans, Asians, etc.
