The sun and the star are the same size. The sun only appears bigger because it is closer to us than the stars.

answ2. To get a better idea, look up 'Hertzsprung - Russell' diagram in your favourite search engine. Our Sun is on the 'Main Sequence ' of stars.

Our Sun is entirely average in size; some stars are only a few percent of the size of the Sun, while others are up to 150 times more massive, and hundreds of times larger.

For example, the nearest star to our Sun is the red dwarf Proxima Centauri, which is so small and dim that it cannot be seen without a telescope. On the other hand, the red giant Betelgeuse is so large that if it replaced our Sun, the Earth and inner planets would be inside it!
