.MSWMM and .WMMP files are only project files, they have all of the information needed to create a video, but it is not a video by itself. The only problem is that it needs to 'render' this project into an actual video.
This can be easily done in Windows Movie Maker, providing you still have all of the media required (videos, pictures, etc.)
Rendering In Windows Movie MakerOpen the .MSWMM or .WMMP file, check everything is ready to go, then at the top of the window go to 'File -> Save Movie File...' (or press Ctrl+P) and follow the on-screen instructions.
Rendering In Windows Live Movie MakerOpen the .MSWMM or .WMMP file, check everything is ready to go, then on the Home tab, select from one of the buttons in 'Sharing' and follow the on-screen instructions.
To change the video from a project file (MSWMM) to a Standard viewing format such as .wmv in Windows Live Movie Maker, you simply have to Publish it.
You can use a program called virtualdub (freeware) to turn a sequence of images into a video file.
You would need to use a file converter such as Zamzar. And you would have to turn your file into the IPod format under Video. (On Zamzar)
You can turn DVDs into .mp4 format with a video converter. However, you first need to decode the DVD on your computer before you can convert the file.
You have to convert it to a file name extension (format) that Windows Movie Maker uses.
The best option would be VirtualDub (read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirtualDub). And it's absolutely free.
"Ripping" a video means to obtain a digital video file from a video source. For example, you have bought a DVD, but you would like to play it on your computer without having the disk around. There is software that allows you to "rip" the DVD video and turn it into a digital video file. At the end of the process, you have a video file that you can play on your computer without having a need for the disk. "Ripping" also applies to music disks.
The way to turn a Windows Movie Maker file into a wmv, is to Publish or Finish the moviein the program first.Once that is done, the video is exported (converted) into a wmv file.
First of all, I assume you mean a gif file rather than a gi file. Following that assumption, gif files are picture files, while avi, mpeg (and wmv) files are video files. You can turn a gif file into a video file by using windows moviemaker, which is included free in every version of windows for years. (look under accessories to find it on your computer) If you are looking for tutorials on picture or video files, you might go to youtube and type in your request with the word tutorial after it. Youtube has an incredible number of tutorials on most any type of question you can think of. Good luck Ken Internet Video Expert
