The magic words here are "he dumped you." I am really sorry this happened to you, but he left for reasons and you must know them. Whether you were the cause of them or not he either wants to move on or you've really hurt him. Love should be something wonderful and sometimes those "wonderfuls" can hurt, so I would suggest you phone him up and meet somewhere and have a nice talk. It's time you communicated your true feelings for him and risk the factor he may keep walking. Sounds like he needed you to reinforce the fact you did care for him much more than you let him know.
