Bad valve seals generally produce smoke after start up only or after a period of idling. Worn out rings would smoke continuously. A compression test would verify the condition of the rings.
Try a wet and dry test of the compressions. Get a set of readings dry, then put a teaspoon of engine oil in each bore, turn over and re-test.
Worn rings will have improved readings when wet. Worn valves will show no difference.

to check the piston rings and the valve seals for wear.
Worn piston rings, bad valve seals,
No the valve seals are between the cam and the head, under the valve spring
Valve seals will usually cause smoke at start up, and much lees while running, rings will smoke badly while running, and may have issues with crankcase pressure.
bad oil rings==head gasket== valve seals
Yes. The head gasket forms the seal between the engine block and the head(s). The valve cover gasket seals the gap between the valve cover and the valve train it is covering.
It means the piston rings, valve guides and valve seals are in good condition.
If it smokes on startup, it has worn valve seals. If it smokes while running, it has worn piston rings (and perhaps worn valve seals, too.)
