World War I started when an Austian duke was assassinated and Austria wanted revenge. Austria attacked a country and that country's allies, Britain and France, fought back and Austria's ally, Germany, fought Britain and France.
World War II started when Japan, Italy and Germany wanted world domination and began attacking other countries.
