The Boston Massacre was a clash between British troops and townspeople in Boston in 1770, before the Revolutionary War. The British troops fired into a crowd that was threatening them, killing five. The soldiers had been sent to help the British government maintain order and were resented even before the incident. The killing of the townpeople increased the colonists' inclination toward revolution. LALALALALALA

The Boston Massacre turned colonial sentiment against King George III and the Tea Party was a protest against King George's tea taxes, these events together caused King George to send in troops to control the uprising of colonials which inturn caused a declaration of war with the Colonials and the British Empire.

The colonists wanted freedom so they started with that and also this made the British very angry.

These events were used to help spread Propaganda to rile up the people enough to want to do something. For instance, while only 5-8 people died in the Boston Massacre, some colonists likely told stories that put the numbers in the hundreds. They probably also left out the part about it all being a misunderstanding, and that the chaos from the crowd being upset may have led to it.
