After the black death trade started to pick up in cities in Eroupe. The local cities began to trade more and more. Also, the long distance trade started to pick up. The people could not tend for themselfs any more and they needed help. They relied on maritime trade most of all. They had many bustling port cities along the Mediterranean, Italy.
