∙ 8y agoI assume you are asking about how Michelle met Barack. They met at a law firm in Chicago in the summer of 1988. Michelle was a lawyer and Barack was interning there. They did not expect to date at that time, since they were co-workers (and she was actually his boss, in a way); but later, he expressed an interest in her and they did go out on a date. By the way, you may have read online that they met in college-- that is not true. They did both attend Harvard Law School , but they never met there because she graduated before he had arrived.

∙ 7y agoGiven how well-known Joe Biden was in the US Senate, Barack Obama probably at least heard his name mentioned, or met him at a Democratic event. But by most accounts, they didn't really start getting to know each other till Mr. Obama was elected to the Senate in 2004 and served with Sen. Biden.
