I read this on another website, but have not tried it: To program a replacement remote: cycle the ignition switch to the run (not start) position and back to off
three times or until the door locks lock and unlock by themselves. Then, right after they do that, with the ignition switch in the run position
push the lock or unlock buttons on both remote controls. This should do it. If it doesn't work then you have to go to the dealer. Good luck !

No.
what answer!
Unfortunately there is a computer chip inside the Fob and even more unfortunately for your wallet this is something the dealership (stealership) needs to reprogram for you. It will be quick...but not painless. Yes, there will be an exchange of $$ involved.
your key fob can only be programed by the local gm dealer.
With the dealers scan tool.
You'll probably need to have this done at a dealership.
the bastards at the dealership have to do it...had it done, not cheap.
Take it to your dealership they would be the one to help you with that.
You normally do not have to reprogram the key when you replace the battery. If you do you will have to contact your VW dealer.
Contact your local Ford dealership with details of ownership and proof of identity.Might you have locked the key fob in the trunk by accident, maybe it fell out of a pocket or something? You will have to buy a new key and fob but having your ID and proof of ownership will speed things along.
