Before performing any act of worship a Muslim should perform ablution (Cleansing of body including private parts - a bath is more preferable). They should also concentrate on the act of worship and leave the world behind them, as if they are meditating deeply. Other ways to show respect to the lord is by making sure clothes and body are well presentable (neat and tidy), breath smells fresh (if strong foods such as garlic, onions etc. are consumed toothpaste, mouthwash should be used) and also place of worship is clean. Devoting one self sincerely and shedding tears out of fear and love also shows respect.
Islam means complete and unconditional surrender to the commands of Almighty God. The Muslims not only respect Allah Karim, but they also LOVE Him from the heart of their hearts. They must be all the while respectful to Him. However, the height of respect is shown in Prayer. A Muslim should pray as if he is seeing Allah Almighty (it will attract all his attention to his Creator), if it is not possible at least he should be careful as if Allah Almighty is watching him. This is the true spirit of Prayer as described by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (My peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him.) A prayer without proper concentration is hardly demanded from a Muslim. Allah Almighty needs not such prayer/worship that lacks concentration.
The same way you respect yourself.
Simply to show respect and modesty
the same respect they show in their own church or synagogue. They sould be clean, wearing tidy clothes, taking off their shoes, and it is preferred for women to wear scarves.
It's for the muslims to take their shoes off as it is respect to be in a mosque without shoes.
No because we are not allowed in the church as Muslims. And the Muslims can only pray in the mosque and at home but not in the church. And my dad always tells me you can go inside it only when you are doing working and Allah knows you are only doing your work. By Abshir Abdirahman
