In batteries, there is CPE (chemical potential energy). As a wire is connected to it's north and south poles, the CPE is converted to EE (electrical energy) hence powering the appliance attached to the wire.

Power does not go to the battery, it comes from the battery, except when the car is running. At that time power does go to the battery from the alternator. Disconnect the + battery terminal.

Why will your cars power turn off when you turn the key?

I think your battery might not be having enough power to crank the car as well as the supply the power to do all the things that it runs . Things to do; check battery wires, clean wires and battery terminal (you can use baking soda, bleach, or some kinda of soda (base) to clean off the acid). Good Luck! Also check to see your crank's manufacture is specified.

Will your MacBook run off power only when battery is dead?

If your battery is dead and you connect the power supply with your battery installed, the battery will automatically start charging. If you wish to run your MacBook off your power supply only, simply remove your battery from your MacBook and connect the power supply. You will then be running solely on the power supply. If you battery becomes fully charged while your power supply is connected, you MacBook will switch to the power connector as it's power source - preserving the battery.

Same as a car. The battery is just a holding unit for power. The alternator is what really makes things work. It sends the charge to the battery which then sends out to run the bike. This keeps the battery at over the 12 volt margin all the time.

Can clay be used as a battery?

I have never heard of clay being used as a battery, as a battery is a power source to power things such as an automobile, flash lights, watches ect.. Now if you look at this question in all other possible thoughts, clay could be considered a battery as in it being a source of power in a thinner form ( slip ) being used to hold pieces together or to connect them together permanently.. just a thought.. lol..

Whenever your MacBook is connected to a power adapter to recharge battery it keeps switching from battery reserve power to recharging why?

If the battery of your MacBook is fully charged whilst you have the power cable plugged in, then the MacBook will switch to battery power instead of wasting electrical power from the plug. Once the battery is run down again, the Macbook will switch back to electrical power from the plug.
