Here is where a problem can arise. Our 2002 has one "keyed" lug nut on each wheel this requires an adapter that fits into the lug wrench and then into the keyed" lug nut, this is a theft prevention device, however if someone has removed this adapter from your kit you will need to purchase one from your Volkswagen dealer! Tough to do when your in the parking lot of your local ski resort. In a nut shell, consult your owners manual and inventory the tire kit, today!
