to set the points you have options. The most precise way is to obtain a clear sight glass timing viewer to see the crank marks,or you could use a continuity tester and set the points without the engine running ; or as I decided to do was to replace the points with a solid state module. The later is more precise and stays in time longer. After my change,my bike not only ran better, but idled very smoothly at 900 rpm. Buy the module at your dealer.....approx 149.00
The GL1100 has electronic ignition. No points.
There is no adjustment on a GL1500 clutch.
The Goldwing has a set of carburetors. They need to be synchronized with each other with a set of vacuum gauges or the engine will never run properly.
please help how to adjust valves for 84 Honda golwing 1200 cc thanks
check the bottom left windshield or on your driver door, but you have to open the door first.
First, Honda did not mak a "750" Goldwing. In 1976 the Goldwing was a 1000 cc machine known as the GL1000. As for transmission fluid, the 1976 GL1000 does not use transmission fluid. It has a wet clutch, and the engine oil provides all the lubrication that the clutch and transmission requires. For this reason it is extremely important to use the correct engine oil and change it at regular intervals. For detailed information check out www.randakks.com.

Just got this bike. Never mind- just researched and noted the bike has a hydraulic clutch/cylinder - I checked and the fluid was almost out - that would explain it.
