How do you block people from writing on your WikiAnswers message board?

Currently, you cannot block certain individuals from writing on your message board. You can block all Non-Supervisors from writing on your message board by emailing WikiAnswers @ Answers.com(remove spaces) and asking for them to do so. Please note that this will not block Supervisors or Community Assistants.

How do you block a user on WikiAnswers who continues to leave silly messages on your message board?
You must be a Supervisor in order to block a user. Here is how to solve your dilemma: First, ask the user to stop writing silly messages on your message board. If he/she continues the act, contact a Supervisor. The Supervisor will then step in, and if you message the Supervisor about being sent even more silly messages after the Supervisor has stepped in, the Supervisor can issue a block.
How do supervisors ban members of WikiAnswers?
When a user is violating the WikiAnswers terms of use a supervisor may block them using the "Block Vandal" feature. The supervisor enters the username or IP address they would like to block, the duration of the block and the reason for the block before submitting. When possible, the supervisor should first post a message on the user's personal message board educating them about the policy they are violating. If the behavior continues after that, then a block should be pursued.
Can a Supervisor block another Supervisor?
No, Supervisors cannot block another Supervisor. Only Community Assistants (Answers.com Employees) are able to block Supervisors. If you do attempt to block another Supervisor you will be presented with the following message "WikiAnswers Supervisors, Mentors, Senior Supervisors, and Community advisors cannot be blocked. For assistance contact WikiAnswers @ Answers.com"

Now, chatting is allowable on user message boards, except for extremes - which may receive the attention of a Supervisor with a warning message. WikiAnswers was not intended to be used as an IM (instant messaging) service all day long, so that would be an extreme. However, we would still like to have you participate and contribute quality answers or contributions to the site! Community is a part of WikiAnswers.

No, we do not block people from the website if all they are doing is messaging, however these messages must be clean and the messages may not be asking and answering questions. We do encourage that all of our users get involved with asking and answering questions as that is what this site is for!
How do you block questions on WikiAnswers?
You cannot block questions on WikiAnswers. Only Supervisors have the ability to get rid of a question, but there is no such action as 'blocking a question'.
Why can't you message a certain person on WikiAnswers - have you been blocked?
Currently, we have no way to block individual message boards, so if you can message anyone at all, then you haven't been blocked. It could just be a glitch on that message board.Also, if you get blocked, you will see a message when you log in about it. Why do some schools block WikiAnswers?
Some of the categories on WikiAnswers should not be browsed through by younger children in school, so a school will block WikiAnswers on their server. However, a more common reason is due to vandalism. Instead of researching in class like a student is supposed to be doing, they vandalize WikiAnswers, which does not benefit anybody. If enough students are vandalizing WikiAnswers and neglecting classwork, the school will block WikiAnswers on their server.
