FRONT

  1. Secure truck on jackstands and remove wheels
  2. Remove the upper shock absorber stem nut use an open end wrench to keep the stem from turning remove the retainer and grommet and on 4wd trucks the upper mounting bracket has 3 nuts
  3. Remove the lower mounting bolt and nut on 2wd trucks pull the shock out from the wheel well and on 4wd pull the shock up and out from the engine compartment

REAR

  1. Secure truck on jackstands and remove wheels
  2. Remove the nut and bolt that attach the upper end of the shock to the crossmember
  3. Remove the nut and bolt that attach the lower end of the shock to the axle bracket and pull shock out

On the 4wd trucks I didn't need to remove the tires to remove the front shocks, it's not necessary. Just remove the cross member support 1st, 2 nuts are in the wheel well that are easily accessible but you don't need to remove the tires. And follow the rest of the instructions.
