this is an easy procedure simply locate the plugs, remove the plug wires they should just pull off(make sure you label these in some way so that you know which goes where) , and using the spark plug socket from your average socket set and remove the sockets and replace with new ones then replace the plug wires on to there corresponding plug make sure you do not mix them up or the plugs will not fire in the right order

i know if you have the 5.4L V8 you will have coil packs. not spark plugs
sounds like the motor is running lean, not enough fuel.

beneath each individual coil pack. You need to remove a coil pack to get to a spark plug.
on top of the spark plugs in the intake manifold.
The plugs are located on the inboard side of the cylinder head near the intake manifold, under or near the fuel injection rails. You do not have spark plug wires, but rather 8 separate ignition coils that sit on top of the spark plugs.
Their are two valve covers on each side the four spark plugs are mounted in the engine block just below each of the Valve covers
The coil pack towers are numbered : coil----3---4 pack---2---6 plug----1---5 ---------------------------------------------------- The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : FIREWALL 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 FRONT
