If you mean on your file backround, which is a regular color, than go to Google and type in images. Click on Google Image Search.Type in what you would like to have as your backround. Press Enter. When you see something you like, Right click on it and click Save Picture As. Type in what you want to call it. For example, you see a picture of a cat and you want to save it. You do the instructions that I said to do and you decide to cal it cat. you type that in and press save. if you go to start and go to My Pictures. Pick what you want to put as your backround. Click on it. On the list of things, it has a choice that sias Set as desktop backround. Click on it. There you go! If you man the Welcome screen, then go to Start. Click on your picture next to your name. Choose what you want to do. Click change picture. If you want to do one of your pictures off of My Pictures, then you go to the picture by your name and click on Browse for more photos. Pick the Picture and click Change Picture. There you go. To add a colored background,  use the attribute BGCOLOR=".." inside the start Body tag using the color you want as the value. It should look like this:  this example will give you a black background, and at the end of your HTML document you close the Body   You can set the value="..." of the background to what ever you like. To add a picture background  use the attribute Background=".." inside the start Body tag using the URL of the image as the value. It should look like this:  this will place the image as the background of your web page, and at the end of your HTML document you close the Body tag   If the size of the photo is smaller than the size of the page the image will be repeated to fill in the space.

In the body tag, put in bgcolor="Color"

Put the hexadecimal number where it says "Color". Say you wanted #FEFF33. The coding would look like this:

If you had the code for a background image along with a code for a background color, the image will show up instead

It's very simple. Just go to your desktop and go to your library, and then click on pictures. Hopefully, you do have pictures inside of your picture folder, but if not, you should put some on there. When you find a picture that you like, right click the photo, and scroll down until you see "Set as desktop background". Click on it, and minimize the window. You should have changed your background.
