There are some special MB tools needed to replace the belt on this engine. I would recomend taking the car to your local dealer to have it replaced, will save you a lot of hassle. Also the belt tensioners on that engine are known to break when going back on with the new belt, (if it has not been replaced) since the new belt is tighter, and the tensioner cant be adjusted correctly with the new belt. Just a few things to keep in mind.
