The procedures for changing your e-mail account information are different, depending on how you installed Outlook.

Before You StartTo change your existing account information, you need information about your new account. This information is available from your internet service provider (ISP). The information that you need includes:

• The name of the outgoing Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) mail server, or the Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) mail server.

How to Change Your Account Information with Outlook (IMO)You can easily change your e-mail account information, such as your e-mail address and display name. Use these steps to access your e-mail account properties:

1. Start Outlook.
2. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
3. On the Mail tab, click your existing e-mail account, and then click Properties.

You can now change the existing account properties to reflect your new account information.
