Freedom and independence is one of the basic rigths of individual. But it does not mean that one can do anything wihout any restriciton. If i want to do something, I can but keeping inview the legal and ethic bindings, observance of which are compulsary to make the peace and calmness of the society maintained. On the other hand, if i can handle the consequences, occurring thereupon, then i should do as per my will.

To create your own will, you can start by listing your assets, debts, and beneficiaries. Then, you can either write your will yourself using a template or hire a lawyer to help you draft it. Make sure to sign your will in the presence of witnesses to make it legally valid.

A will or last will and testament is a dated, written document that is witnessed by two independent people who are not related to you and are not left anything in the will.

A will can be simply a hand written letter (witnessed as above) and will have the force of law on your death.

Normally however it is wise to get a solicitor (attorney) to draw up (write) the will for you so that your wishes are written clearly and unambiguously.

If by "yourself" you mean without the help of a lawyer, the answer is yes. You do not need a lawyer to make a legal will. The lawyer is there to make sure you do your will according to the laws governing the validity of a document as a will. If by "yourself" you mean all alone with no other people at all the answer is no, but with an exception. Most state laws require a writing to be witnessed by at least two people who see the person sign the will. Without the signatures of the witnesses on the will, the document will not be valid. Never the less, there is one exception. It is called a "holographic will" but it might not exist in every state so you have to check the laws of the appropriate state to see if the exception exists. A holographic will is one where the material terms of the will are in the handwriting of and signed by the person making the will. Such a will can be made by one person all by himself or herself as long as that state's laws allow it.

Yes, but it must be notarised by a notary public. An attorney is the best way to make sure it does not have problems that might get it disputed over later. You could also consult an estate planner, who may be able to help you structure things to save your heirs some money on taxes.
