Who says it has a kill switch? I have workshop manual and did not see one! Have had trouble with auto shifter stick in park..had to short out "kill " switch, to prevent starting when not in park.
disconnect the power from a relay kind of switch near the brake pedal and then reconnect it again.
Disconnect the battery for couple minutes. But if you have problems with your engine or other monitored systems the light will go on again.
In my case it was the ignition switch itself had overheated and seized up. Replace the switch (have to lower the column, disconnect the wiring plug from the switch, and remove/replace the switch.) Clean all connections to the switch, make sure they're connected solidly and not heating up again.
If it is connected, disconnect it Switch it off, and then on again Hold down the select button (the centre botton) while also pressing the top of the wheel (the Menu part). The iPod should reset itself and start normally.
There are two wires under the seat responsible for the seat belt alarm. You can play with them to disable. If during the state inspection they will find out that you disconnect it again they will make you to connect it again you will not pass the inspection.
Looks like you shouldn't have opened it. A Durant Toyota mechanic opened mine and it never worked again.
Just disconnect the battery, turn ign.key to step 2 for 5 sec. swich key to off again. connect the battery and turn on the engine and the engine errorlight will turn off.
usually, as with most phones, the red phone button (the one you use to disconnect a call) is the one used to turn a blackberry phone on. If this doesn't work, try putting your battery in again.
Disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes or use an error code reader (it has an option to erase codes). But if you have major problems with engine the light will come off again.
