I guess it wasn't meant to be. The first response to this is going to be a lot like it must feel to find out you are dieing. It could range from denial, to anger, to depression. You might even feel like trying to make deals with God or your love interest. None of this will work of course, nor will it be constant. It will fade with time. It might never totally dissipate true love never dies. The thing to remember is that you feel what you feel just like the person you love feels what he feels. You can't make anyone else change his feelings, as they cannot make you. Be who you are, and hopefully the one you love will see it and realize what he is missing.
