On most of the cars I've owned (in UK) there is a cover on the end of the arm that lifts up exposing a threaded shaft that the arm is attached to. Undo the retaining nut and ease up the wiper arm. It may be tight as it is on a spline. You may need to tap it with a soft mallet to free it, or use some WD40 or similar. When replacing be careful to line it up on the spline in the correct place or you may not get the correct sweep on the windscreen (as we say here).

∙ 8y agoIf the post that the wiper blade pivots on has not been damaged, there is a tool at most NAPA/SCHUCK'S/KRAGEN/ auto parts stores, that is designed to remove the blade arm (or what's left of it) from the post. then find a salvage yard or try www.junkyarddog.com to get a new (used) one. Dealer may order you one as a last resort. the new arm will push on with a little elbow grease.
**Mark the post before removal so you can alight the new parts correctly!!

∙ 18y agoThe single arm wiper breaks it's drive gear in the box under the arm. Replacement, buy new or used part. There are two manufactures of the wiper motor, for a used motor you will need to know which one you have, Bosch or SWF. Supply the VIN# to the dealer to get the correct wiper.

BE CAREFUL HERE - THIS IS A LAST RESORT. Try bending arm back or replace arm.
