If you are talking about getting it home from the grocery store I found a great solution. It was very difficult for me to keep my ice cream from melting during the summer on the way home from the grocery store unless I went through the hassle of a cooler and a bag of ice. I found this great insulated "Thermo" box at sonridge.com. It doesn't even need ice, and I just keep it in the trunk because it's super light and collapsible. I put my ice cream and my cold goods in it. I'm surprised they don't sell these right in the grocery store.
Put it in freezing cold water or in a fridge
If you are dealing with a block of ice, it is already frozen. If you want to make a block of ice, you add water to a container, put it in the freezer until it is frozen.
We can keep ice-cream frozen with dry ice in a cooler because they contain carbon dioxide.
Dry ice in a styrofoam cooler is probably the most effective. Baring that ordinary ice in a styrofoam cooler will help some.
Put it in the freezer!
it is in the freezer
using cloth
duh you have to keep it frozen in the freezer. its logic.
Keep them in the freezer...below Oc.
Put it in a freezer or a bucket of dry ice; but the freezer is better.
Ice can be kept frozen longer by keeping it in a freezer. If there is not a freezer, the fridge will help it last. Ice will melt slower if it is kept away from heat.
Depending on how cold the ice chest is maybe most likely not though.
Frozen ice
A freezer, a very freezing temperature, etc.
It will depend on whether you intend to keep the meat frozen once you reach your destination or whether you intend to use it soon. The meat will stay good as long as you keep it as cold as possible. To keep it frozen, you should pack it firmly in ice in a cooler.
If you keep the surrounding temperature below or around freezing point... yes.
By putting it in a freezing environment of 0oC or lower
ive found plastic to very helpful.
Since dry ice, which is frozen carbon dioxide, is even colder than regular ice (frozen water) it can be used to keep food cold for longer than regular ice does, when you take food with you in a cooler, on your camping trip.
