How do you get WiFi on an itouch?

Go to a WiFi hotspot. Open your Settings (on iTouch). Open "Wi-Fi" (it should be the first one on the list). Choose Network: pick an available network. If it has a lock symbol next to it, then you have to know and type in the password. Once on is available, you select it by touching it. YOU HAVE WIFI!!! To get out of that network, select a different one or move out of range of the Wi-Fi.

but for some reason, some internet isn't compatible with an itouch

im pretty sure most normal providers work though

First open the home menu tap "Settings" and then tap Wi-Fi. Your iPod touch will automatically find any Wi-Fi around you so then tap which network you would like to use. Some networks require a password and some don't. You'll see your connected if you see little waves next to the word "iPod" in the top left corner on the iPod.

press the settings app then go to wifi (which is the first or second option) make sure wifi is turned on (thers a switch on that screen for that) then a list of wifi networks should show up if there is a wifi connection in your area. if not the no internet for you. If the connection name has a lock by it that means it has a password, if it doesnt then there is no password just touch to join

. Make sure you are in a wifi place and connect using the settings. If you go to the settings you then go to wifi connect and it will show up if it's a wifi hotspot. Sometimes they are locked and if you don't have the password you can't use it.
