∙ 14y agoYou ALWAYS need a pink slip. You don't need to put it in the car. IN FACT NEVER EVER do that. Anyhow you will need it if you plan to sell the car to someone else or if a car like yours has been reported stolen and police show up at your door and you may be asked to provide a pink slip to prove ownership.
