How do you do well in middle school?

Well i am in grade 8 but i do grade 12 Canadian math. the way i do it is that i have a tutor who teaches me math for free. also i study at least 2 hours prior to a test and get my assignment completed on time and in detail. in addition, science labs are worth a lot and are pretty difficult to get a high mark in so attempt your best. another thing i try to do is read a good amount of books and get at least 8 hours of sleep. it is very important you get sleep. last but not least, try to do about 2 hours of homework each day, which includes assignments and you get it done fast. this gets you an 85 +% average.

my schedule is the following-2 hours homework;1.5 hours karate; 1 hour tutor's math;0.5 hours eat;20minute shower and read the rest of the time.

The same way you get high grades inelementary school by behaving, following school rules, doing all of the work. and when you miss a class then instead of telling everyone you weren't able to do it ask for extra credit work to bring the grade you would have had up more

Pay attention, suck up to the teacher(haha...), talk to the teacher at lunch and/or after class if you don't understand something. Just try and understand things, do the homework, etcetera. Maybe even research some of the topics if they seem too vague. Ask your parents to hire a tutor for you if you are having trouble. Another Person says... I am a straight A student... here is how I do it!!! Stay up late (I don't mean 10:30 late... I mean any time that you need!!!) to perfect your homework and study for tests. Also, give your 150% effort... Be as much as a perfectionist as possible!!! DO EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU MAKE A "C" or below... ON A TEST!!!

Pay attention and take notes. You will have to do all your studies even if you don't particularly enjoy the subjects. Most importantly, ask your teachers if there is anything that you don't understand. Later, more difficult concepts will be based on the simple things that you learn early on.
