You need to run these 5 essential steps to remove all the spyware on your computer.

1. Run Deckard's System Scanner (DSS)

2. Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

3. Run the anti spyware removal programs spybot

4 Run Superantispyware

5. Run a complete scan with free curing utility Dr.Web CureIt!

Install threat fire which will enhance your antivirus protection

Turn off System Restore in Windows. Run AVG from GriSoft consecutively 4 times. Turn off the computer, wait 5 minutes. Run AVG scan once. Run Trend Micro Free scan once.

This worked for me. I have not had any problems since.

The quick and simple way is to run AVG, identify the infected files. Close down the computer and restart with the dos prompt option. At the prompt press space then type in "del" then space again, then type in the offending file name/s and path eg. "del c:\windows\system\crt32_v2.dll" press return and restart. Your troubles are over!!

All Trojan horses are hidden files so you would need to go to the Files Option (click the View tab)at Control Panel and uncheck both the *Hide file extension for known file types & *Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)-boxes, then OK yourself out. You will then need to restart your computer and and go into Safe Mode by holding the F8 key down -(kind of at the beginning of start up). When you're at the DeskTop screen go to Start/ Search/ For Files and Folders and type up the NAME OF THE FILE & EXT which would have shown up on your Anti-Virus software, you can delete these file from here.

I have had 4 Trojan horses on my C drive and kinda figured out the above method a week ago. I deleted the Temp file from the Restore folder after unchecking the hidden files boxes, then went to SafeMode to delete what virus files that were still there. My computer is now absolutely FREE of these pests!

Its not gonna let you delete the Trojan because the program is running at system start up..you must turn of your system restore,then start you computer in safe mode so the program is'NT running, then it will let you delete this virus with no problems.

I also posted this answer in the backdoor Trojan section... Had that nasty Trojan downloader winshow(not sure of varient). It was detected by AVG but AVG was unable to delete it. I disabled wnxp home restore and tried all the forum suggestions including running AVG in dos mode...I tried about every AV shareware and freeware (including stinger and but the virus was recognized only by AVG....very frustrating...AVG would clean all the Trojan installed files except one...and a host of othe exe files would propagate every time. I ended up getting out the WINXP install CD and reinstalling windows completely..a pain!, but finally, no more virii.

Run NOD32 (30 day free trail) in safe mode after you remove the system restore. Then go to %system root%:\windows\system32 and delete crt32_v2.dll, crtv2_32.dll. That has worked good for me.

The ai_loader.exe keeps coming back unless you delete it from your system32 folder and then delete it from the recycle folder. You have to change the settings so you can see hidden and system files.

Turn off the system restore function to make sure it doesn't hide there, before you do this delete.

Turn your computer off. Then turn it on and scan for the virus again. AVG is a good program.

When sure it is gone - turn back on the system restore feature.

Most of the time when I get a Trojan Horse Downloader on my computer I have found that Spy Sweeper will remove it. NOT all Trojans can be removed using the Spy Sweeper but most can be removed.

Also AVG virus detector is a great program. Every virus I have ever gotten, [and I have gotten a lot lately] has removed them all.

I run 3 different spyware programs on my computer. Spy Bot, and Ad-aware, Spy Sweeper. Sometimes when one finds something the other will not find it. So running all 3 programs finds 99.9% of all trojans and spywares. BUT remember all trojans can not be deleted with these programs. SO having your virus def' up to date on your virus detector is what it's all about in a good way.

Also I found a great little program called: RegCleaner. It's great for cleaning out nasties or unneeded files and registery files from old uninstalled programs. {BE very careful using RegCleaner. Read the do's and don'ts}.... Cleaning up after you uninstall a program will help your computers performance quite a lot.

Also another program I use a lot is Highjackthis. BE very careful using this one too! Even Highjackthis can detect Trojan downloaders that has highjacked on to your computer. Once you have ran the program go to Computer Cops site and post the highjackthis log file. THEY can tell what to leave on the log file and what to remove. When you know what to keep on the Highjackthis log file just check back ever so offen with the program and keep all the other stuff deleted off that you know you don't need.

THESE 5 programs I use on my computer 4 to 6 times a week. They keep it clean and running with 92 to 96 System Resources at bootup.
