I'd say pour in a cup or so of bleach, brush it a bit, maybe let it sit a few minutes, and flush a couple of times.

What is a kinds of fish eat algae?

Most fish will not eat only algae, and will eat anything else you put in and leave the algae untouched, instead. If you want to add something to a tank in order to get rid of algae, I recommend a snail or some shrimp. Or you could take a clean rag and wipe it off the tank.

Where can you buy snails that will clean up algae from triops tank?

Snails will not clean up the algae. Yes they will eat some of the algae and poop a lot and use up oxygen that your fish need but certainly they will not clean the tank. The only way to get rid of the algae is to physically remove it with scrubbers, scrapers and maybe a syphon hose too depending on how bad or thick the algae is.

Why would a first floor toilet gurgle when a second floor toilet is flushed?

The water in the lower toilet is probably being siphoned out of the tank by the negative pressure caused by flushing the upper toilet. This CAN happen if the water level in the tank of the lower toilet is over the top of the ballcock. If this is the case, the tank water is being siphoned into your drinking water! Replace the ballcock with a Fluidmaster right away. If you have a small white fill valve that sits in the bottom of the tank, get rid of it. These are illegal and WILL siphon under these conditions. If the lower toilet runs AFTER the fill cycle of the upper toilet, it may be that the ballcock seals at a lower pressure, and the pressure spike when the upper toilet shuts off causes it to run a bit until the added water closes the valve a little tighter.

What is the best algae eater to add to a tank with convict?

Convicts are very aggressive fish. You should just consider using something else to get rid of the algae. I'd suggest something like Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Algaefix which works wonders and has a good price.
