Usually when stressful/painful things occur in your life people can't take it and they start doing stupid things such as
•drugs•alcohol etc
Well you shouldn't do that because that's just leading you in the wrong direction.Me,i believe God is the answer to all our prayer-questions. You beg,pray and nothing happens and you just give up. Well our great Lord is to listening to us. He feels everything we feel, he breaths everything we breath and just when you're feeling no one is there think again because you may not see it but he's standing right there next to you.
If you're a person that's going through this unessesary stress in your life i suggest you seek more of our Father,at least that's what he deserves. And to think that he gave up his one and only son just to save dozens of peoples future sins scar me because yet still people dont see of how much pain and suffer he's been through.
This do happen for a reason and sometimes its just a sign that its time :]

as a nurse i never felt any stressful situation. as for me the duty of the nurse is to look after to the patients with care and affection of their need. we are the only one who can give them peace and make them motivated when they are in death bed and even can bring their life back.
Personally I think life is stressful for kids ! Even tho being a doctor may be stressful, because you have someones life in your hands, but if you happen to safe a life, think about how much joy you have created!!! if people cant handle someones life in there hands, it is not a good idea to become a doctor :S Feel free to Improve my answer :)
