All Cable TV receivers are a little different. Look at the back of the Cable box receiver and you should see a coaxial out (TV out) or a HDMI port (TV out-for HD Programming). If you do not have a HDMI out port on your cable box (you need a HDTV for this as well), you will need to run a coax wire from the Cable TV receiver to your television coax input. In most cases your TV will then be tuned to channel 3 or 4 to receive programming. If you have HD programming with your Cable company and have an HDMI out on your Cable box, you can use an HDMI cord and connect it to your HDMI port on your HDTV. You will then need to tune to the HDMI input to receive programming.

∙ 12y agoIf you have a solo receiver, you need a splitter to split the signal from the receiver to the 2 TVs. If you have a dual receiver, you need a coax cable coming off the TV 2 port going to the 2nd TV.

∙ 14y agoYes, but your only option is to split the output signal from the receiver, so both TV's will output the same signal at the same time. There is only one tuner in the receiver.

I am assuming you have a new HD duo receiver (222k, 622, 722, 722k) or 612 solo receiver that doesn't have a coax connector for TV 1. You need to do 1 of 2 things to enable you to connect the old TV to your receiver. If your TV has an RCA port (yellow, white, and red cable) on the back, you can use that cable instead of the coax from the TV to the receiver. If your TV doesn't have the RCA ports, you need to get an RF modulator to convert the signal from the receiver from RCA to coax.

I recently purchased the X11 headset I also have the same system hook up with hdmi through an av receiver. I have plugged the headphones directly onto the headphone jack on my receiver, i can then use them on all sources into my receiver, not just the 360. I then run the usb to the 360 for power and the chat cable goes into the controller as usual. This has worked amazing for me so far. Good luck!

The direct answer to this would be, no. But I think you might be asking the wrong question. To get surround sound to play your television programs you would need to put your cable/satellite box through the receiver. As a side note: There are two ways to do this. 1. If you receiver supports video pass thru (which would mean that there are VIDEO IN jacks and VIDEO OUT jacks) If not then proceed to the next option. You will hook up everything from the cable/satellite box to the receiver and just one cable, which will be the video signal, to the television. 2. You will hook up only the audio cables to the receiver and a single video cable straight to the television.

HDMI does have a length limitation. When you mirror 2 TVs, the same program is on both TVs; when you change channels it will change both TVs channels.
