You will find one of the pulleys the belt rides on is called the BELT TENSIONER. It is usually the smallest pulley the belt runs on. If you look at the tensioner you will see a square hole in the tensioner out to ward the end toward the pulley. This square hole is where you insert a 3/8 inch drive socket, then normally you will have to push down on the driver and you will feel the tension on the belt release. Push the driver down further until you can slip the belt off one of the smaller pulleys. Make sure you have a digram of how the belt is routed on all the pulleys. There is usually one mounted close to the top radiator support. If not, get pen and paper and draw you pulleys and draw the belt directions on the pulleys so you can get the belt back on.
