Most laser tag systems are franchised. The franchiser typically has a variety of options with respect to how the arena is laid out. Once you select the layout, you need to hire a general contractor to construct the arena. Arena's are typically constructed of either wood and metal or a combination of the two.
Some laser tag arenas are also constructed of plastic elements and some are also covered with carpet.
If you want to design your own arena, you can construct it out of any material you want so long as it passes local construction and fire codes.
