To change the screen resolution simply right click on the desktop(not on any icon just any blank space). The last option(properties) at the bottom will allow you to go through the steps of changing your displat settings. To make everything you see smaller is simply changing the resolution to 1024x768 for example. The help function in Vista is very easy to follow if any adjustment further need to be made and if you do not like a change simply wait for 15 seconds and click nothing for it to return to normal.
