Whether you want a nostril piercing or a septum piercing, you need to go a professional piercer who has been trained to pierce that specific body part (not all body piercers will do septum piercings, for example.)

Attempting to do a homemade piercing will result in you not positioning the piercing right, causing the piercing to be too far down or off center, besides the risk of getting a nasty infection or having your body "reject" the piercing.

You don't because it's extremely stupid.

3rd Answer

I did it myself, and its quite easy really. You take an icecube(hold it with a towel so you don't numb your fingers though) Hold it there, til you can feel it's numb on the inside of your nose as well. After that, mark it with a pen where you want it pierced at. You should probably use a needle, though i just used one of those earrings that they pierce your ears with, and push it through your nose. Put something on the inside on the inside of your nose however so you don't poke the other side. When you first puch it through, it doesn't really hurt, but the skin inside your nose does however. After you have it all the way through, pull it out, and switch it quickly with a nose stud. Make sure at 14ct gold though, if not, the piercing won't heal. It'll hurt for the first week, but after that it's fine, and make sure you twist it and clean it everyday, and after 3 weeks, take it out once a day, so that it doesn't heal to where you can't pull it out.

Well, I pierced mine by myself by only using a sewing needle. It doesn't really hurt, but if your planning to do it by yourself make sure you sterilize the needle really well!

Also, DO NOT use a safety pin!

Hope I helped! [:

There's a specific spot you're supposed to pierce your septum in so it doesn't feel like your nose is trying to destroy itself. Take your fingers and pinch the inside of your nose and feel for a soft spot. That's the "sweet spot" that the needle is supposed to go through. Hollow needle would be the best and what you SHOULD use. I wouldn't advise using a sewing needle, or safety pin, or any of that. Make sure the needle is sterilized, also.

if you mean piercing it by yourself , I did this last year. It is easy and it doesn't hurt very much. I kept the earring that they gave me when they pierced my ear lobes ,

which has a sharper back then normal earrings. I had cleaning supplies so i cleaned off the earring and my ear with that. I made a mark of where i was going to pierce ,

and pushed it through. It took a while to heal but worked out perfectly.

Well any professional body piercing facility is about the right place to pierce your septum. Hey look when it comes to septums and other body piercings leave it to trained professionals, if you screw up you can kill yourself by secondary infection and a host of other nasty means. So leave it to a professional a septum is not something to screw around with.

i wash mine with mouth wash and dont touh it

Hi, when I got mine done I found that it is actually a really hardy area to have pierced. As soon as it was done I had it flipped up to hide, I only washed it once with the saline solution cos I'm lazy, but it was healed within the week (I could flip it up and down with no pain).

So don't worry too much, it seems it would be rather hard to get an infection.

Hope this helps xx
